So we had a conversation with the wife recently that our kids are going mental. One reason we agreed is they are not entertained enough. Let me tell you the daily stuff quickly:
- Go to school, both of them, in the morning come back for lunch. And yes this means – make them breakfast, wake them up, dress them up eventually, kick them to go or one of them needs to be driven. So takes over an hour.
- Come back, have lunch that takes an hour, little one eventually go sleep for a bit. Big one has activities every afternoon other than on Friday. So again – prepare her to hit the road, wait for her to come back, eventually go play in the school…
So afternoons are a bit sporadic (other than the scheduled stuff), usually involves a walk or time spend in the school playground. Then eventually bring them back, make them dinner, shower and oh supreme leader, bed. Takes a bit of time.
Problem is IF they are not physically destroyed, you are in trouble. Like a BIG FOKN TROUBLE. Hence we though we need a list of stuff to do. Example:
- Draw
- Read
- Play with Lego
- …
So around each of these put a time and then say – pick whatever you gonna do and do it. Then once it finishes, do something else, etc. Needs a bit of time to get used to it but is better than play TV and fok off. Because work, busy, life, cat, horse, you name it.
Will see how it goes but think about a list as well.
